History and Experience
With an undergraduate degree in psychology and early work experience in nonprofits, education, and social science, Miranda thought she’d find a career dedicated to serving others. Eventually she found that serving the public as a CPA is just as rewarding.
Passionate and enthusiastic about her work, Miranda sees beyond the spreadsheets and energetically comes alongside her commercial and nonprofit clients as they communicate their financial story, navigate the complicated worlds of accounting, tax, and compliance rules, and make informed decisions. She sees the impact that her commercial and nonprofit clients have on our community and local economy and knows that success in business leads not only to the success of shareholders but also to the success of employees, customers, and community partners. It isn’t quite what she had in mind when she planned for a life dedicated to serving others, but Miranda feels lucky to serve her clients as an accountant, auditor, and business advisor.
Miranda has worked with commercial and not for profit clients in every capacity – as an auditor, tax specialist, consultant, outsourced controller, part-time CFO, bookkeeper, and payroll processor.
Miranda is currently a manager in the assurance and audit department. She works with commercial and nonprofit clients on all levels of engagements, including audits and reviews, and as a consultant. She has particular technical expertise in the nonprofit and construction industries.
Miranda is proud of her role as a mother. In raising her three children, she has the opportunity to contribute to their interests and pursuits and hold space for her kids as they develop as individuals. She loves navigating through life with them.
