James W. Ricci, CPAjames.ricci@riccicpa.com

History and Experience

Jamie’s career in accounting arose from a desire to build a business of his own. Following a stint in the Army and an accounting degree from the University of South Florida, he and his wife Sandy moved to New Mexico and opened an accounting firm.

Their firm has gone through a number of changes in its 30-year history to become Ricci & Company, which has been in operation since 2007.

Despite advice from naysayers who discouraged him from going into business with his wife, he considers this teamwork to be the most rewarding and important experience of his career. Their relationship has been the backbone of success for their firm.

Current Role

Jamie provides consulting and strategic planning to the firm’s business and individual clients. His practice includes commercial construction contractors, homebuilding, manufacturing, and taxation of individuals, partnerships and corporations. After 30 years of working with small businesses in New Mexico, he counts his clients among his best friends.

Proudest Accomplishment

Jamie’s proudest accomplishment is the culmination of what his firm has now become. He is very proud to have witnessed the growth of a firm that began with he and his wife to one with over 40 professionals, becoming one of the largest local CPA firms in New Mexico.
