Corrine Zajac-Clarkson,

History and Experience

Corrine considers herself a native New Mexican after her family moved to New Mexico when she was in elementary school. After spending a few years in San Diego, California, Corrine returned to New Mexico in her early 20’s, and that is when she was first exposed to the accounting profession working at a local newspaper in Santa Fe, NM. It was then, that she realized that accounting was the career for her. Corrine worked as an accounting supervisor at a local newspaper in Albuquerque while attending CNM and UNM Anderson Schools as a non-traditional student pursuing her passion in accounting. After graduation with her BBA in accounting she entered public accounting and has never turned back. Corrine has 25+ years of experience in both private and public accounting.

Current Role

Corrine is a Partner in the Audit Department. She is passionate about client service and guiding them through compliance requirements and developing best practices for business process improvements. She also enjoys being a part of a dynamic team that share these same passions.  

Corrine has extensive experience leading audits of governments and not-for-profit organizations, including performing Single Audits under the OMB Uniform Guidance for Federal Awards. She also specializes in serving large and complex not-for-profit organizations and foundations with substantial endowment and investment funds. Corrine also has extensive experience with serving benefit plans of all sizes from small single employer plans to large employer plans. Corrine specializes in defined contribution, defined benefit, and health and welfare plan audits. 

Proudest Accomplishment

Corrine’s proudest accomplishments are being a mom and mentor to four amazing, beautiful, and talented girls, as well as being a Partner at Ricci & Company.

Outside Activities

Corrine enjoys relaxing with her husband on the back patio that overlooks the Petroglyphs.  She also enjoys listening to her husband’s rock band and the musical talents of her children who play trombone, alto saxophone, bass clarinet and clarinet.  Corrine also has a passion for wine and enjoys exploring different wineries and collects red wines mostly from California and France.
